Mountain & Meditation (Pics.)--17--Peak Expedition to 'Saser Kangri--IV & I, Karakoram, Aug.-Sep. 1988

This was a very challenging expedition, more than 10 members got sickness and injuries during the expedition, one of our co-climber got hurt at his fore-head very seriously by a rolling stone, another one had to amputated his all ten fingers of his feet due to 'Frost-Bite because they had to spent Night in the Open and the temperature was below  -30 degree centigrade.

They had to be evacuated by 'Chopper' to Chandigargh and then to Benglore of for the treatment of frost bite.  We two climbed Saser Kangri IV (24,500' aprox) while other two climbed Saser Kangri I (25000' Approx). The route of the peaks was very difficult, it was a grand success, so the Brigadier of Siachin Glacier had arranged a seven days celebration at 'Siachin Dropping Center, Partapur where he showed hundreds of slides of Old Monasteries. It was a great fun.
